Well at least it can only hit one target at a time. Kinda makes you want to cool off on nuclear energy though. I guess the energy race is in full swing now. Theyre going to have these things using AI targeting. 😎
They have limited range (line of sight). They use too much energy. They generate too much heat. These DEWs are expensive to produce and maintain. I think cannons and explosives will continue to be prevalent.

They were shooting targets down with laser beams from the deck of a Navy ship a while ago. Here’s an article from about a year ago.
