    The EU is reassessing its heavy reliance on American liquefied natural gas after Donald Trump’s threats over Greenland. Energy commissioner Dan Jorgensen said Europe now gets over half its LNG from the United States. Brussels is seeking alternative supplies from Canada, Qatar and North Africa. A recent deal commits the EU to phase out remaining Russian gas imports, still about 15% of supply. Officials fear energy dependence could become a tool of geopolitical coercion.
