They want to fight and obstruct, but have ICE scurry away instead of do what any other law enforcement officer would do. And on top of that, there is normally a group of bystanders ramping up the tension, by yelling and blowing whistles.
Seems pretty clear, now that there is a pattern of behavior and complaints, that they want to be free to create physical confrontations with ICE officers, create the most chaotic environment, have police no where to be found, keep any outside help such as the national guard away, and catch ICE not preforming at 100% perfection in each and every chaotic altercation, in order to promote anti ICE sentiment.
