D66 (social liberals), VVD (conservatives "liberals") and CDA (Christian democracy) have presented their agreement forva minority coalition. They lack a majority in both the upper and lower house, the first minority government in generations. This makes the plans all provisional really, and they will almost certainly not happen in exactly this form. That being said, a few highlights.
– Pension age once again indexed to life expectancy increase from 2033 -Unemployment benefits are limited to 1 year and increased for the duration (now: 2 years)
– 3.5% gdp on defence (19 billion euros extra)
– Expand size of the armed forces to 122.000 up from 80.000
– mortgage intrest tax deduction remains
-1 bn for new housing
– simply rules for sharing/splitting homes
– limiting appeals to block new housing through courts
– Yearly deductible increases from €385 to €460
– means test domestic care
– restore plans to reduce heavy nitrogen emissions (with a 20bn fund)
– achieve climate targets for 2035 and 2050
– tax credit for high skill migrant workers remains in place
-Separate asylum procedures for refugees fleeing war and political prosecution
– mandatory proportional distribution of asylum seekers across all municipalities
-Focus on Dutch language and maths skills
-Subsidise private child care -> nearly free for working parents -Increased student grant for students that moved out -Student loan interest rate is set at max 2.5%
-Allow judiciary to constitutionally review bills
– Aim: every ministry should abolish/simplify 500 regulations
-Investigate introduction of electoral threshold
-Introduce a register to make lobbyist-relations more transparent
