I will personally thank Trump if he led to the downfall of the American auto industry. Not that I’m excited for people to lose their jobs but there has never been a more protected industry in need of major overhauls.

GM could start by making something other than inefficient SUVs and trucks.
The old Bolt was one of the few cars that could compete with Tesla on efficiency. It was held back by its slow DC charge speed which made it unsuitable for long trips. Otherwise, it was a great little car for the price.
Why not refresh that with better battery cooling and a heat pump rather than flailing around as they have been?
