But, this action caused outraged in the US because Coupang is heavily embedded in MAGA circle. This led to Trump administration re-igniting trade war with Korea to save Coupang.

I didn’t know how much intertwined Coupang is with MAGA and Trump administration. Tens of millions of dollars changed hands among Trump administration officials, MAGA online influencers and Coupang. It seems Coupang bought MAGA’s favor by paying bribes to MAGA online influencers and high-ranking WH officials. Heck, new Fed chair Kevin Warsh is on Coupang Board of Directors and own 10 billion KRW worth of Coupang stocks. This corrupt connection moved Trump administration to enact second tariff war against Korea.
