No, an ATM isn’t expected to give money once it’s died or otherwise stopped working. People are treated worse than ATMs.

It’s CA so par for the course. Thing is this is EV specific. I don’t think we who drive internal combustion vehicles should subsidize electrics. The rebate program is asinine. When it was announced within a short time automakers increased the price of their EVs by about the same amount as the rebate.
