But reporting from NBC and the [New York Times](https://www.nytimes.com/2026/01/30/business/trump-bureau-of-labor-statistics-brett-matsumoto.html) indicates that domain experts are generally comfortable with this choice, and seem to think the post above is just bluster for the stupid base.
