I’m still trying to understand why attacks on US bases are being emphasized when oil production facilities are more vulnerable and a more strategically effective target. Lobbing missiles at heavily defended US bases or Israel doesn’t do much for Iran.

For reasons I don’t understand, everyone seems to have forgotten that Iran can deny oil shipping to the Persian Gulf, and there is no feasible military option to prevent them from doing so.
The US is very loudly broadcasting an existential threat to the regime, this is literally the scenario for a “nuclear” option.
