As the Hungarian parliamentary election draws closer, Orban is doubling down on his anti-Ukraine rhetoric. As Ukraine issued a demand for EU to halt importing Russian energy, Orban claimed that “anyone who says this is an enemy of Hungary, so Ukraine is our enemy.”
With two months away and Fidesz still lagging behind Tisza, it remains to be seen if this strategy will produce any results or will alienate more of Orban’s voters.
