On the one hand, I see this article every six months if not less. On the other hand, if ever it were certainly true, it would be a massive victory for us as a whole. Oil is the main artery pumping blood through the Russian economy and as tankers carrying russian oil are seized and shot down, no longer insured by most firms, and countries cease to buy Russian oil, that artery clogs up much as a certain someone’s ought to if there is justice in the world.
For India too, lower tariffs are a win so long as Trump doesn’t go mad and decide to impose them again and a more open economy is good for our development. If we can push for more industrialisation and shifting people away from our deeply unproductive agriculture industry, we could see some major economic gains as a result.
