Jeffrey Epstein was found unresponsive in his New York jail cell on the morning of Saturday, August 10, 2019. Guards discovered him at approximately 6:30 a.m. at the Metropolitan Correctional Center, and he was pronounced dead shortly after at 6:39 a.m.. The death was ruled a suicide by hanging.
