A lot of people have been critical of Zelenskyy for not holding elections but I always assumed there was a security risk being as they’re actively fighting a war and Russia has a lot of experience in manipulating elections. It seems like a risk but assuming it can be executed right I think this is a natural development, important to check in with the people and make sure they are still on board. I hope Ukraine keeps fighting but the US and Europe can help ensure a good outcome by stepping up their support.
