openAI today fully pulled the plug on its 4o model. They tried to do this before but the backlash was so intense openAI reversed coursed and kept the model (behind a paywall). Now? its over.
fans are sending death threats and doxing openAI execs, self harming, and calling for a boycott/chargebacks.
it is very concerning that there are millions of people globally who rely on AI for friendship and love. idk how this can be politically solved. You either force people into depression by removing their AI or turn a blind eye to an unhealthy relationship.

This feels like a logical consequence to the parasocial relationships with famous people and influencers where the loleliness epidemic only gets worse as desperate young people search for a parasocial relationship on anything, sapient or not.
