    Before we get the inevitable “Canada will never be able to fully replace the US” comment – we know, Canadians know, Carney knows, everyone knows. This is diversification, not replacement, and would still be a good thing even if Canada was on more friendly terms with the US.

    The changes in just one year should be the headline. A full 10% drop in trade with the US shows this path is possible.
