Collecting taxes on a drug that people will do regardless of legal status is far better than spending taxpayer money incarcerating people and spending law enforcement time on it. Legalization has been win-win.
Grown adults should be allowed to make this choice legally and be responsible for the consequences in terms of the impact on their life. Hopefully, the feds fully decriminalize soon.
