    Submission statement: Germany’s housing construction sector is recovering, driven by lower interest rates, simplified permitting regulations, lower energy costs, but also rising use of new technologies such as modular construction

    over 26% of newly permitted housing units last year are gonna be built with pre-fab methods, saving labor costs and enabling higher labor productivity in the sector

    the use of serial renovation methods using pre-fabs is also booming, as it enables the upgrade of older housing stock while reducing labor costs by more than 2 thirds

    this project in Bochum for example shows how basically everything can be pre-made in factories nowadays, and just assembled on the spot( insulation,windows, roofs, solar pannels)
