U.S. DOT to shut down hundreds of CDL training schools violating federal regulations

    >The department said some of the noncompliant schools used fake addresses and failed to properly train drivers on the transportation of hazardous materials. The agency said one school removed for violating safety standards had previously provided training for school bus drivers.

    As it should be. If they’re gonna violate federal safety standards then they’re on a fast track to being out of business. ***ESPECIALLY*** when it comes to driving school busses. ZERO shortcuts should be taken there. School bus drivers should be amongst the top-trained CDL drivers in the country.

    “School bus driver” on a resume should convey “holy cow, this person knows what they’re doing. You can’t get any better than that”.
