So you’re the Anthropic CEO, how do you prepare for this? Do you try to stand firm or explain yourself? Do you try to compromise? Do you bring him a bottle bourbon or vodka?

Another Anthropic article but i think this deserves light too. Pentagon is pressuring Anthropic significantly.
> “Anthropic knows this is not a get-to-know-you meeting,” a senior Defense official told Axios. “This is not a friendly meeting. This is a sh*t-or-get-off-the-pot meeting.”
At the moment, it is likely that Anthropic offers the most polished products.
But in future pentagon can also move to OpenAI or much worse, XAI.
To be fair, i never expected Anthropic to even allow claude in military use at all.
I am not sure what the right move here is. How can AI companies resist pressure from the government? Especially when far less ethical ones would be vying to get those contracts too.
> The Pentagon has threatened to declare Anthropic a “supply chain risk” — not only voiding its contracts, but forcing other companies that work with the Pentagon to certify they aren’t using Claude in those workflows.
