Bipartisanship can not be the only way to pass legislation in a first past the post, 2 party system. It makes absolutely no sense. Republicans should not be saved from their unpopular legislative ideas being implemented and rejected by voters, and Democrats should not be hindered by a made up rule that's not in the constitution. The filibuster leads to congressional dysfunction, and allows the executive to amass more power.
