Sometimes you can get a sense of the truthfulness of something from the way people write. “Encrypted. Triple-layered. Military-grade”. That’s specific and yet says nothing at the same time. It sounds like something the person could either attribute to a clearly defined algorithm or else has no real information about at all. This kind of mixed messaging in a statement is highly unusual, and I can’t immediately think of a scenario in which it would actually make sense.
