    APreports that Uruguay and Argentina have become the first founding members of the Mercosur to ratify a FTA with the European Union. Uruguay’s lower house approved the deal 91-2, while Argentina’s Senate ratified it 69-3. Ursula von der Leyen said that the deal will be partially implemented when all Mercosur countries retified the deal. Brazil and Paraguay, the other two founding Mercosur members, are expected to ratify the deal in the coming weeks.
