I’m not sure on this. My family is military and not special forces to my knowledge but they essentially never tell me where they are deployed because “loose lips sink ships”. I mean I don’t doubt they are boots on the ground, and yes families often know the general whereabouts of their family, but I doubt they’d publicly share these details.
