Pakistan has reaffirmed its unconditional backing for Saudi Arabia, with Prime Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif’s office stressing that the commitment applies “no matter what and no matter when.” The declaration follows a Strategic Mutual Defense Agreement signed in September 2025, under which an attack on one country would be considered an attack on both. The pact strengthens joint deterrence and deepens nearly eight decades of military and diplomatic ties amid rising tensions in the Middle East.

  2. Of course this was expected. Pakistan and Iran have been at loggerheads over Balochis and Balochistan & majority Sunni population discriminates against Shia Pakistanis.
