  1. Obviously goes without saying but the American healthcare system is fucked and makes no sense

I pick up a few prescriptions on a monthly basis. The prescriptions do not change, but the price does. It’s totally random. Sometimes it’s like $20, sometimes it’s like $150

You expect this kind of thing maybe when the year rolls over with deductibles resetting and policies changing, but no, the $20 to $150 example happened from February to March. There’s apparently just a bunch of stupid nonsense that goes into these price points and they can vary independently of each other day-to-day, week-to-week, month-to-month

Another example: in my annual blood work, my insurance decided it didn’t cover a single certain test the doctor ordered. I got billed $300 for it. If I had skipped insurance and ordered this test myself, it would have cost me $20. In fact, if I paid out of pocket for the whole panel it would have been less than $100

I need to go to bed but the LinkedIn translator continues to be hilarious. This a translation of some lyrics from the Sabaton song The Price of a Mile about the battle of Passchendaele during the Great War.

    Lyrics:

    >Six miles of ground has been won, half a million men are gone. And as the men crawled the general called and the killing carried on and on.

    Translated to a LinkedIn post:

    >🚀 Just achieved a massive milestone: 6 miles of ground gained! 📈

    >Success doesn’t come without sacrifice—we’ve seen 500,000 team members move on. But leadership is about persistence. Even when the team was crawling, I made the call to keep pushing the needle. 📞

    >The grind never stops. We keep executing, day in and day out. 💯🔥

    >#Leadership #Persistence #Grindset #ResultsDriven #Strategy #Execution

Also this will just be official administration statements within a year.

  3. I identify as a hardliner.

Not because of politics or anything, but because when I do lines of coke I’m always hard.

  5. [Former EHRC chair joins ‘gender-critical’ peers targeting abortion rights](https://www.thepinknews.com/2026/03/17/ehrc-chair-abortion-rights/)

People be like “why are British women under-50yo so radically left-wing?” (although Greens still lead with 18-24yo men and a close second to Labour among 25-49yo men)

This kind of stuff is why, we all know this doesn’t start and end with trans people or asylum seekers, I can feel the spirit of MAGA travelling over the Atlantic Ocean and I don’t want any of it

Now abortion is up for debate in the UK, Jesus wept

    >Falkner left her position as EHRC chair in November 2025 after nearly five years heading the UK’s largest regulator of equality law.

Ah yes, after you ensured trans people had no rights. Also, why did Labour even reaffirm her when it was Liz Truss who appointed her in the first place?

  6. Uh well, if I’m going to suffer, I’d at least like the suffering to be well-documented. You know?

  7. Am I the only one who thinks China won’t invade Taiwan unless something massively changes (e.g. Xi is replaced by someone more hawkish). They could just ramp up propaganda efforts on the island showing how inept their allies are and slowly build consensus for voluntary joining starting with Honk Kong style autonomy that will be slowly eroded.
