Its easy to tell when we are getting closer to an election because the “But Democrats are actually bad and not great!” shit starts getting pushed. LIke okay the Democrats did not become the perfect idealised political party following 2024. Does that mean I ought to vote for Trump now?

I do find it interesting that some people have attached enough positive connotations to the word populism that we’ve had to invent the word slopulism to describe what populism originally meant.
I also broadly agree that the Booker tax proposal and it’s fellow travelers is slopulism and deserves only derision.
