Honestly, the irony here is that not long ago, back in the 70s/80s, people used to fear Japanese investment because at that time, it was feared that Japan would do to us what China has been trying to do to us today.
Nowadays, we welcome Japanese investment because the more we build here, the less dependent on China we are (generally speaking, obviously there’s a lot more involved).
