Ford, Carney announce $8.8B to help cut development charges, spur housing builds in Ontario

Submission Statement: Housing policy is of great importance on r/neoliberal and most of Canada, cutting development fees (taxes on new developments) for housing is one of the most recommended market based policies to help address housing supply issues in Canada in addition to zoning/planning reform. the Carney government and Ford government's plan to cut these charges can help to increase declining housing starts in Ontario.
