  1. Submission Statement: Bondi was given a subpoena to testify before congress regarding the Epstein files. Congressional republicans have opted instead for her to be fired as cover to evade testimony, as well as put someone with less baggage into the AG role. Personally I also think they’re going to paint Epstein as “Bondi’s problem” and make excuses to move past it and never talk about it again.

“A spokesperson for House Oversight Chair James Comer (R-Ky.), however, argued that the committee could reverse course.

“Since Pam Bondi is no longer Attorney General, Chairman Comer will speak with Republican members and the Department of Justice about the status of the deposition subpoena and confer on next steps,” the spokesperson said.

Rep. Lauren Boebert (R-Colo.) the next day told CNN she was “absolutely” considering withdrawing her support after Democrats walked out of the meeting, saying it was “absolutely shameful to have her come in there willingly to answer anything that we want to ask, and to be treated that way. It just shows what’s to come.””

She is still required to respond to the subpoena.

Might have been a very stupid move to fire her just before she has to appear.

  3. And that makes perfect sense in a court of law. Crazy government we have here.

  4. If she is repositioned within government, then it’s pointless move. She will be subpoenaed. Is there a position within US government that would make it difficult to subpoena her by said committee? Figure intelligence whereby her lawyers can claim national security or a diplomatic position like ambassador. Otherwise, maybe quit the government for a corporate position offshore where she is unavailable for testimony?
