I’ve been re-thinking my plan to just hoof it across the UAE myself bringing oil through and skipping the Straight of Hormuz.

I don’t think I ever really considered how much oil a barrel of oil is. “A standard 42-gallon barrel of oil weighs approximately 300 to 306 pounds”

That means that a camel could only carry one or maybe 1.5 barrels each

Camels cost about three barrels of oil

And the you’ve got to think of the food it would take to walk a camel ~60 miles across the UAE

So by the time you get enough camels carrying oil across the desert, it’s probably just easier to wait for the conflict to die down/Trump to get bored/Iran to run out of bombs

It’s the Friday before Easter and the USS Boxer with the 11th MEU should arrive in the area in the next 24 hours. Is it going to happen this weekend in the hope he can declare victory (again) for Easter Sunday?
