Submission Statement: In contrast with the 2024 Israeli-Hezbollah war, which was remarkable in its _relatively_ limited impact on civilians compared with other 21st century conflicts in the Middle East, the 2026 invasion of Lebanon has seen Israeli killings of noncombatants on a much larger scale. This apparent pattern of intentionally targeting medics carries strong echoes of near-identical atrocities committed throughout the duration of the Gaza War. It reflects how, especially since the Iran war has started, Netanyahu’s government appears emboldened to pursue an aggressive foreign policy with little if any regard for either International Law or Humanitarian Impact.
