I know Trump’s word isn’t worth much but this seems newsworthy, it’s being reported by the NY Times and there seem to be some indications from the Pakistan side that this might be real. Edit: I would consider this confirmed now based on Iran’s statements.

> Iran’s foreign minister, Abbas Araghchi, said in a statement that the Iranians would “cease their defensive operation,” and that “for a period of two weeks, safe passage through the Strait of Hormuz will be possible” if coordinated with Iran’s military.

This is probably the best possible outcome. Iran wins, trump can save face, by claiming he already achieved their objectives.
Meanwhile the gulf states are looking at their bombed infrastructure wonder what all those bribes they paid to trump actually got them.
