The Gulf States (UAE, Saudi, Qatar) made a mistake, they tried to move away from being gas stations. They built Neom, the Burj Khalifa, global tourism hubs, and massive sovereign wealth funds. They started thinking they could be the new center of the world.
The Empire cannot allow that.
By cranking up the "Iran vs Israel" heat, the West achieves three things
1-Capital Flight: Who invests in a "Vision 2030" project when IRGC drones or Israeli "retaliations" are flying overhead? Real estate values in Dubai and Doha are being kept on a leash by manufactured instability.
2-Tourism Collapse: the trillions spent on airlines and tourism infrastructure evaporated, tourism and real estate will never be the same in gulf states.
3-The Oil Hegemony: As long as the region is unsafe the west maintains an excuse to keep a massive naval presence in the Persian Gulf, controlling the flow of every barrel.
The Trillion-Dollar Drain
The Gulf has already lost billions in "protection money" and lost opportunities. But the end game is a Total Liquidation, the Gulf’s infrastructure the desalination plants, the refineries, the glass towers will get reset to zero.
The West doesn't want a "winner" between Iran and Israel. They want a perpetual meat grinder that ensures the Arab world stays divided, paranoid, and most importantly broke.
Iran isn't fighting the "Great Satan” It's working for it.

TLDR: Iran is a legacy western asset installed in 79 to act as a permanent boogeyman. The current "escalation" with Israel is a scripted event designed to scare investors out of the Gulf and destroy the economic rise of Arab nations, ensuring they remain dependent on Western protection and defense contracts.
