Submission statement: I love capitalism. I think it has lifted millions out of poverty. I think Jeff Bezos has largely earned his billions as Amazon and AWS are useful for millions of consumers. But my god is this article tone death from both the Bezos side and the NYTs. This is why people hate the Uber rich.
Even when it does bring up valid criticism of the couple it waves them away just as quickly as they were brought up. Examples: she claims she wore a conservative outfit to the inauguration, she just thought she could wear lace (This must be ragebait right??). Also, if she married Bezos earlier he never would have bought the Washington Post but a football team (ignoring that he tried to buy the commanders but Snyder wouldn't sell to him allegedly).
Ultimately this is comes across as an amazing example of wanting to eat your cake and having it as well. She is upset of the criticisms she has gotten but still wants to unashamedly flaunt her wealth. You really can't have both.
