State Rep. Juandalynn Givan (D-Birmingham) went on a vile rant against U.S. Supreme Court Justice Clarence Thomas because of his recent vote in the redistricting case.
Besides "crazy ass Uncle Tom" and "lynchman," she also repeatedly referred to the Supreme Court Justice as a "reggin" (n word spelled backwards) as well as suggesting that "this mf’er must’ve been the one who sold us out in Africa."
This diatribe comes just a few days after calling her colleagues in the State House racist over the recent special session.
I usually don't post but I searched Reddit for this story and didn't see it anywhere and it appears to have escaped the scope of the mainstream media for some reason. Her nasty words and character need to be exposed to more people when her name is Googled so I'm just assisting in that effort. The public words and actions of a state representative should be held to a higher standard. The leadership of both parties should be calling for her resignation, or at the very least, a censure and an apology to Justice Thomas.
