Has anyone watched the docu they just put out on Max about a man named “Benjamin Kyle” who I guess was beat up and left for dead behind a random Burger King? When he woke up he had amnesia and couldn’t remember the majority of his life, including his name. The name Benjamin might be his real first name but he came up with the last name Kyle because they were asking, he couldn’t remember, and out of assimilation with BK (Burger King) came up with the last name Kyle.
It started to seem like a very legit documentary but then there are these recorded phone conversations between the film crew after filming with the interviewee that seem almost purposefully scripted and faked. Like, almost in your face about the conversation being inauthentic.
The reason it’s supposed to be so interesting is because the documentary is filmed over 10+ years. These film crews and journalists researching this guy, trying to pin point his background and where he came from. It seems (so far) that the ending is going to be that he might be some government asset of sorts. CIA or working for another countries government . Or just a hit man. I haven’t finished yet but, the recorded conversations are rubbing me the wrong way so far
Has anyone watched it yet and if so what are your thoughts?
Has anyone heard of this guy and his story before now? I know they have done other documentaries about this guy in the 2010’s but I don’t remember seeing them or hearing about his story.
