When you consider all the transhumanist experiments that may have taken place at the Zorro ranch, the film's story doesn't seem quite so absurd anymore. The Society clearly defines itself in terms of "good breeding" and there are connections to Washington and the entertainment industry. So much of this has turned out to be true in one way or another, yet we will likely never know the full extent of the horror. It’s an interesting example of revelation of the method. It’s old news by now, but they’ve been rubbing it in our faces for a long time and nobody does anything about it.
