Peter Simel, a 71-year-old former real estate executive and New York native who lives in Palm Beach, gained viral fame for his striking resemblance to Jeffrey Epstein. Known online as "Palm Beach Pete," Simel has nearly a million followers across social media has launched a mayoral campaign in Palm Beach.
Following the severe scandals associated with Epstein's crimes, the 14,223-square-foot waterfront compound at 358 El Brillo Way was demolished in 2021. The property was sold, and the empty lot's address was subsequently changed to 360 El Brillo Way to permanently distance the parcel from its history.
Epstein's connection to Simel is strictly limited to their shared location on the island, as Simel has publicly clarified that they are two entirely different people.
