The Pentagon fired the publisher and editor of a state-run military newspaper, Stars and Stripes. The paper has recently done a lot of reporting on the deployed aircraft carrier problems and lack of morale on-ship.
Perhaps we should never expect too much out of state-run media, but Stars and Stripes has been an informative publication for military members, founded during the Civil War, published throughout WWI, and regularly (I believe) since WWII, and it is supposed to have First Amendment protections.
This is yet another awful blow to liberalism in the United States.
