I know culture wars are happening throughout the country, but it feels like the WNBA has become a weird microcosm of the whole thing. Race, gender, politics, Caitlin Clark, Angel Reese, Sophie Cunningham, trans athletes, and even outside political figures are all getting pulled into the conversation.

What really makes me wonder is whether this is happening organically, or whether the WNBA is becoming a convenient battleground for people who want to fight these larger political and cultural battles. The league is more popular than ever, yet so much of the attention seems focused on controversy rather than basketball.

Like let's be honest, no one was paying attention to this league like 15 years ago.

People are more focused on the Politics rather than the sport itself, you think the higher ups in the League want to keep this going secretly?
