Seahawks owner Vinod Khosla is near the top of the NFL when it comes to campaign contributions.

Unlike the overwhelming majority of owners in the league, nearly all of Khosla’s contributions for the upcoming midterm elections have been in support of Democrats.

Front Office Sports reported Wednesday on the breakdown of campaign contributions among NFL owners for this election cycle. According to Federal Election Commission records, Khosla ranks second among owners with contributions totaling just over $2 million since July 1, 2025.

Denver Broncos owner Rob Walton has donated nearly $9 million entirely in support of Republican candidates. Khosla is second on the list, with Cleveland owners Jimmy and Dee Haslem and Dallas owner Jerry Jones the only others to top the $1 million mark in donations during this election.

For 2026, all of Khosla’s donations were in the first half of the year before he became the winning bidder in the purchase of the Seahawks. His largest donation was in March when he gave $1 million to SMP — the Senate Majority PAC — which says its goal is building a Democratic majority in the U.S. Senate.

Khosla made a series of much smaller donations to individual candidates including Democratic candidates in Montana, Ohio, New Jersey, Illinois and California. He also made two donations totaling $5,000 to Tennessee Republican Chuck Fleischmann in June, the lone Republican among Khosla’s donations.

The only other NFL owner who made most of their donations to Democratic candidates was Atlanta Falcons owner Arthur Blank, who donated just over $300,000. Like Khosla, Blank made one donation to a Republican — former NFL kicker Jay Feely who is running in Arizona for a spot in the House of Representatives. Feely played his first four seasons with Atlanta.
