Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) called on Nvidia Corp. CEO Jensen Huang and the company’s board to answer to Congress after a report that he was targeted by a suspected Chinese spy.
Wants Answers From Huang
U.S. officials determined that Alice Huang, a senior executive at Singapore-based Megaspeed, was a Chinese intelligence asset, and surveillance reportedly documented a close relationship with the Nvidia CEO, the New York Times reported Thursday.
Don’t Miss:
President Donald Trump was briefed on the findings about a year ago but decided against acting, the report said.
“Huang and NVIDIA’s board owe Congress answers,” the Senator said in a post on X Thursday.
She added that a “bipartisan legislation” is needed to restrict advanced AI technology and keep it “out of China’s hands.”
NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang was reportedly “targeted” by a suspected Chinese spy whose Singapore-based firm bought billions in AI chips.
Huang and NVIDIA’s board owe Congress answers.
And we must pass bipartisan legislation to keep our advanced AI technology out of China’s hands.

Nvidia did not immediately respond to Benzinga’s request for comment.
In June, Warren had invited Huang to testify before the Senate Banking Committee on Nvidia’s China sales, arguing they could hurt U.S. national security even as they boost profits.

Nvidia Pushes Back
Officials had previously suspected Alice Huang of helping China get around restrictions on advanced AI chips, and surveillance allegedly showed she was also passing information directly to Beijing, according to the report.
An Nvidia spokesperson told Benzinga that Megaspeed is “no different than many other regional cloud customers” and that Huang talks with “thousands of customer executives every year.”
The diversion allegations, the spokesperson said, were “thoroughly investigated and debunked last year.”
Nvidia, Commerce Department ‘Doing Nothing’ on Chip Smuggling
Chris McGuire of the Council on Foreign Relations said that the report shows chip diversion to China through Southeast Asia is as bad as many have asserted, and that Commerce Department and Nvidia are doing little to stop it.
He called it “undoubtedly the largest illegal transfer of controlled technology in world history.”
Today’s report in the NYT confirms that not only is the problem of Nvidia chips being diverted to China via Southeast Asia as bad as many people have asserted, but also that the leadership of the Department of Commerce and Nvidia are very likely aware of this, but are still doing… pic.twitter.com/K63sPd6Nt6

He also called Nvidia’s response as “non-serious,” saying multiple investigations proved the Megaspeed allegations rather than debunking them, and that companies like Nvidia can’t be trusted to regulate themselves.
This is such a non-serious statement by Nvidia. First of all, it is false that the allegation that Megaspeed was providing China access to controlled chips were debunked–if anything, they were proven by multiple investigations.

Building Wealth Across More Than Just the Market
Building a resilient portfolio means thinking beyond a single asset or market trend. Economic cycles shift, sectors rise and fall, and no one investment performs well in every environment. That’s why many investors look to diversify with platforms that provide access to real estate, fixed-income opportunities, precious metals, and even self-directed retirement accounts. By spreading exposure across multiple asset classes, it becomes easier to manage risk, capture steady returns, and create long-term wealth that isn’t tied to the fortunes of just one company or industry.
EquityMultiple
For accredited investors looking beyond stocks and bonds, EquityMultiple provides access to vetted commercial real estate deals starting at $5,000, with only ~5% of opportunities passing their due diligence process.
Arrived
Backed by Jeff Bezos, Arrived Homes makes real estate investing accessible with a low barrier to entry. Investors can buy fractional shares of single-family rentals and vacation homes starting with as little as $100. This allows everyday investors to diversify into real estate, collect rental income, and build long-term wealth without needing to manage properties directly.
American PowerGen
As artificial intelligence drives a surge in electricity demand, reliable power generation is becoming a critical part of the technology ecosystem. American PowerGen is developing natural gas-fired power plants in Texas, a fast-growing market fueled by AI data centers, manufacturing expansion, and population growth. By advancing projects through permitting, fuel supply, and grid interconnection, the company is positioning itself to help meet rising energy needs while offering investors exposure to the infrastructure supporting the next wave of AI and industrial growth.
Bito
As AI coding tools take on more of the work traditionally done by developers, companies are facing new challenges around code quality, context and the rising cost of AI-powered development. Bito is building software designed to help AI coding agents better understand complex codebases while helping companies control AI development costs. Founded by former PubMatic executives, Bito has raised more than $10 million from institutional and individual investors and is now raising additional capital through a Wefunder offering, giving investors an opportunity to invest in a company targeting an emerging need within the rapidly expanding AI software market.
