I’ll give my thoughts:
The US invaded their country, but these Afghanis decided to fight against their current regime and threw their lot in with the US vs the Taliban and Al Qaeda. The US then decided to allow Taliban forces to re-take the country (other than the waste of lives and money, no opinion on that), leaving these folks to fend for themselves. Many Afghani soldiers were permitted entry to the United States based on their service. While these pilots may not have moved to the United States after the war, they should have been offered the chance to.

The question I ask:
Should the Trump Administration re-assess their changes and offer them refugee status in the United States if they apply for it?
There are few, if not zero, wrong answers to this question, as I am simply looking for a discussion and others’ viewpoints.
