In this article, Ohio’s AG talks about how he wants to ban crowdfunding for people accused of criminal acts. The subject in particular is being accused of murdering a cop in cold blood, and he may very well be a POS, but if a bunch of other idiots want to part ways with their money in a vain attempt to defend this guy from a slam-dunk murder case so be it.
The state has virtually unlimited resources to prosecute somebody, but they want to limit the ability of a defendant to raise money for their own defense. In what world does that make sense?: One in which the state is a tyrant.
