But after looking into what TikTok actually wants access to, I’ve started thinking, why even bother?
after looking into it i found that ByteDance, the company behind both TikTok and CapCut, demands access to your system files, network info, clipboard, location and device identifiers, permissions that go way beyond what’s needed to watch or edit videos.
It’s like locking your front door while leaving every window wide open.
Have we just accepted mass data harvesting as the price of entertainment? Has privacy become a myth we tell ourselves still exists, while companies like ByteDance quietly build the most detailed digital dossiers ever created?
I can’t help wondering where it all goes… and what for.
