Hilariously, this article fails to mention the most obvious explanation, and the one that the Danes have started to grudgingly converge towards. There are no drones at all. Danish media has done in depth investigations into the initial drone sightings in Denmark and discovered that there is no evidence of any drones in any of the sightings that happened there. They were also able to identify planes that matched the drones that authorities had reported at Copenhagen.
They even interviewed politicians, who admitted that they had not seen any real evidence.
The truth is most likely that there was a false alarm at Copenhagen airport, it spread mass panic that caused other airports to misidentify random lights as drones, and this has now spread to germany.
