Doubling down on oil when literally the entire world except the US is shifting towards renewables is an interesting decision to say the least. As one of those environmental types I can’t claim to be very happy with this direction Carney is taking Canada. Still, if he can leverage the wealth from oil to advance renewables and other climate positive policies and technology, it could turn out a net positive.
