We should expect more — and worse — pandemics to come

In some ways, we’re way more prepared. mRNA is basically a miracle in terms of taking vaccine development from years to a couple months once the virus is sequenced. That said… the fact that everybody in the world is now insane about vaccines does not give me reason to be hopeful.
