Foreign interference or opportunistic grifting: why are so many pro-Trump X accounts based in Asia?

I am assuming that social media companies pay people to make engaging posts in order to sell user data, train models, etc. I don’t see how this will be sustainable if posts become more generated and more “rage bait” (so less normal human like) as time goes on
