Nowadays photos & paintings like this depicting a family sitting together in church are usually considered bad & far-right extremism by the general public when not too long ago the general public would have thought this is normal & a very good thing.

I want to know what was the reasoning behind making people think this is somehow bad & is extremism when an unbroken family should forever be considered a good thing instead of a bad thing.

Let me know your thoughts on why this has happened.

Propaganda didn’t give me negative emotions toward a picture like that, going to church every goddamn sunday for 16 years did.

I think the issue has more to do with people being encouraged to live their lives like this photo (white picket fence, church, marriage, children) while society refuses to acknowledge how repressive and abusive traditional dynamics are. Yes there’s power in having a family unit, but there’s so much more to consider. Many people that grew up in religious homes or “traditional homes” don’t have the same desire to conform to something that made them vulnerable to abuse

  3. The topic is erroneous. Divide and conquer. We must hate each other for the plan to work. I don’t think there is a specific reason other than this.

  4. If the public sees far right figures post images like these alongside bigoted rants or something similar then these kinds of images will be associated with far right extremism.

That was done for free by the people who complain about others not liking images like these.

Also images like these have been used by various groups of bigots for decades before now, so this isn’t really a new thing, the association has been there for a long time.

  5. Literally no one on this earth is oppressing anyone for living this way of life . This is legit the standard and people in 99.9% of the world are encouraged to live like that. There’s only a small minority that countercultures that and it only seems like it’s a majority because they’re loud on the internet . That’s it.

  6. Zero hatred towards any church, mosque, synagogue, or whatever religious place is depicted. What works best for me and my family might not work for others, and that’s okay.

Because this version of America didn’t really exist. It was drawn up in an executive board room to sell razors and other shit. And so it’s typically (not always) used as a way to sneak in a belief that America was better before minorities had a say.

Let me know when Christians start holding their pedophile bishops, priests, ministers, and clergymen accountable.

  9. People have been crying in the western world because they feel left out of the decision making process. Now everyone is included and we have tampons in the men’s bathrooms.

The more split up hated and divided the general populace becomes the easier they are to control.
